Yoga for Caregivers

This monthly class is tailored toward individuals who work in fields that serve others. Nurses, teachers, mental health professionals, non-profit employees – take some time to care for yourself! Class will begin with a brief discussion on ways yoga and mindfulness can support daily life, with a relaxing physical practice to follow. Time for self reflection at the end will encourage students to take their yoga with them and integrate it as part of a self-care regimen. Open to all bodies and abilities.

Burlesque Chair Dance Workshop

An exaggerated and sensual form of dance, Burlesque has been part of variety shows for decades. Come experience the beauty and power of this over-the-top dance style at a two hour introduction workshop taught by Aerial Fitness trainer Sabrina Harding hosted by the Lotus Dance Center. The workshop will feature a dance-based warm up, breakdowns of basic Burlesque moves on the floor and engaging with a chair, and will finish with a short choreographed dance. Each move will have progressions and regressions, to accommodate all dance and fitness levels. Please come barefoot or in comfortable strap-on dance heels. Wear you legging, wear a skirt (with shorts underneath), and feel free to bring your own boa!
