OULA Self-Care Sunday
with Micah Fiske

Join Micah for an hour of OULA, dance it out get sweaty, followed by an hour of Oula.One, unwind and reset for the coming week.
There are no classes at Carroll or The Lotus this Monday for Labor Day so come hang out with us tomorrow and get your Oula in! This is a two-for-one class which means you only pay the standard drop in fee (or use one punch on a class card) whether you stay for 1 class or stay for both!
Child Loss & Infertility Support Group

This support group is for women and their partners who are currently experiencing or have experienced infertility or who have lost a child before, during or after birth. If you join us, know that there is no pressure to do anything but be there. You don’t have to share if you don’t want to.
New Moon Yoga Nidra

Starting in September 2018, The Lotus will be hosting Caitlin McWilliams for a monthly New Moon Yoga Nidra class. We will honor the new moon by creating ritual of setting intentions through writing, breath, gentle movement and the practice of Yoga Nidra. You can use your regular passes and memberships at The Lotus for these classes!
Yoga for Caregivers

This monthly class is tailored toward individuals who work in fields that serve others. Nurses, teachers, mental health professionals, non-profit employees – take some time to care for yourself! Class will begin with a brief discussion on ways yoga and mindfulness can support daily life, with a relaxing physical practice to follow. Time for self reflection at the end will encourage students to take their yoga with them and integrate it as part of a self-care regimen. Donation based and open to all bodies and abilities.
Learn to Live Your Yoga Workshop

In the Learn to Live Your Yoga workshops we will be exploring one yogic principle at a time. We’ll have time for discussion, a flow-style yoga practice, and reflection. Proceeds to benefit the Veterans Yoga Project annual free four-day retreat at Feathered Pipe Ranch for Montana veterans and their families.
Mama’s First Year Support Group

The purpose of this monthly group is to support one another in the blessings and struggles of the postpartum period. Through sharing of ideas, discussing postpartum emotions and developing friendships, the goal is to understand that you are not alone and that you can not only survive but thrive in this intense stage of life. Coping Skills for Kids

Children ages 6-11 (first through 5th grade students) will meet as a group and through the use of art, movement, and drama we will talk about anxiety and stress in a relaxing environment. They will be led in exploring and identifying feelings and stressors. We will discuss a myriad of coping skills and brain storm what others we might be able to use. We will also address unhealthy coping skills and how that effects us differently.
Mindful Resilience Training

Veterans Yoga Project is teaming up with The Lotus to offer an extraordinary opportunity for intensive training in a proven, mindful approach to teaching yoga to veterans and others who are struggling with posttraumatic stress and other trauma-related psychological difficulties. Mindful Resilience for Recovery and Resilience is an evidence-informed, clinically-tested yoga program that was developed specifically for veterans recovering from posttraumatic stress and other psychological difficulties. It is an evidence-informed, in that practices have been chosen and adapted based on clinical and neuroscientific knowledge about posttraumatic stress and its treatment.

This is a huge bazaar to outfit you up for our Bollywood Night dance party and Indian hors d’oeuvres October 6th at the Helena Civic Center in Helena. To benefit Tibetan Children’s Education Foundation we will have saris, turbans, jewelry and a huge array of other Bollywood finery. We will offer tips on Bollywood dance, makeup and language.
