September 2018- March 2019

“During the Yoganerd YTT I was encouraged to examine everything yoga is, the many angles, the asanas, the biomechanics and the spiritual/emotional side. I went into this training expecting to get a 52 minute yoga class script, but instead I experienced major personal emotional growth which helped me tap into my own vulnerability and creativity.

I am now more willing to look at a pose from all sides including how asanas can effect mood and improve not only physical but also emotional bodies. By not having a standard yoga script to follow when planning a class, I find the experience both exhilarating and challenging and giving me more pride in the finished class.”

-Scott G.

“During the yoganerd YTT, I learned the Ma, the pause, the way to breathe through and into life. In this training,I found my people, my tribe to support me through the good and challenging of life. We all showed up for each other and made lasting connections.”

-Angie G.

Asana Breakdown Series

Welcome to Asana Breakdown In a typical yoga class there is not enough time to break down and explore the postures.  This 6 session series will give you skills to take back to your physical yoga practice creating movements that are more mindful and more functional. Each class will explore the concepts of mobility, stability, and flexibility, as well as, active versus passive ranges of motion. Sign up for one session individually, or sign up for the whole series.

Unique Objectives:

  • A training challenging the standard script.  This training will challenge the standard script of yoga teaching by creating your capacity to teach rooted in your intimate knowledge of your own practice from the inside, out.
  • Strong lead teachers representing both the physical and mental benefits of yoga.  The lead teachers deftly bring together the physical and mental focus of yoga through their individual and extensive exploration and training in these two sides of the same coin.
  • An intimate setting.  We are keeping this training small so we can make sure that each trainee gets the time and attention they deserve in this process.

When you have completed this training you will:

  • Know how to develop and sustain a life long personal practice
  • Have an in-depth understanding of yoga philosophy
  • Be able to apply the wisdom of yoga both on and off the mat
  • Have a deeper understanding of yoga philosophy applied to mental wellness and the asanas that support emotional balance.
